01 Who we are
Startscalr ("Startscalr", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at startscalr.com, including the free growth audit intake. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site or submit your information.
02 Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out the free growth audit form or contact us, we collect what you enter. That can include your first and last name, your email address, your phone number, your trade and the kind of business you run, your monthly revenue range, your role, your service area, and the tools you already use.
Information collected automatically. As you move through the funnel we record basic usage events, such as which step you reached and where you stopped, along with your referring page, your approximate device and browser type, and a randomly generated session identifier stored in your browser for the length of your visit. We use this to understand and improve the flow.
Booking information. If you book a call, scheduling is handled by Cal.com, which collects the details you confirm to reserve your time.
03 How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Confirm, schedule, and run your free growth audit call.
- Contact you by email, phone, or text about your call and your request.
- Decide which next step fits your stage, such as a live call or other resources.
- Understand how the funnel performs so we can improve it.
- Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
Some of the replies and calls you receive from us may be handled by AI assistants working on our behalf. Those conversations are logged so a human can review them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build profiles for unrelated advertising.
04 SMS and text messaging
When you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, you consent to receive text messages from Startscalr related to your audit, such as a confirmation and a short follow-up. These are not bulk marketing blasts.
- Message frequency varies and is tied to your request and your booking.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or email info@startscalr.com.
- Your consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase, and your mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
05 How we share information
We share your information only with the service providers that help us run the site and deliver your audit, and only so they can perform that work for us. These include:
- Cal.com for scheduling your call.
- Twilio for sending text messages.
- Supabase and Google (Sheets and email) for storing and routing your submission.
- Email delivery providers used to notify our team of your request.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information.
06 Cookies and tracking
We use a small amount of browser storage to keep a session identifier so we can follow your progress through the funnel and avoid asking you the same thing twice. We do not use this to track you across other websites. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
How you use the site. We record which pages you view, which buttons and links you click, how far down a page you scroll, and whether you started or finished a form. This is how we learn which parts of the site are working and which are not.
This is tied to a random identifier your browser generates and stores locally. It is not built from your name, your email, your device fingerprint or your IP address, and we do not store your IP address at all. We record only the country your visit came from. On its own this information does not identify you. If you later submit a form, the details you choose to give us are held separately as described above.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we honour it and record nothing. You can also clear the identifier at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, and a new one is generated on your next visit with no link to the old one.
07 How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request, run your call, and meet our legal and record-keeping needs. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the parts that identify you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner using the contact details below.
08 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or limit how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it. If you are in the EU or UK, these rights come from the GDPR. If you are in California, they come from the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

09 Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and work with established providers to store and transmit it securely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.
10 Children's privacy
This site is meant for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11 International users
Startscalr serves clients globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. By using the site, you understand your information may be transferred and processed in this way.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
